Blessed are the Peacemakers

“Peace is its own reward.” – Mahatma Gandhi

“Peace is its own reward.” – Mahatma Gandhi

“Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.” – Saint Francis de Sales

May we jump to kindness rather than conclusions;
Acceptance rather than approval;
Slow to judgment;
Ease in the struggle;
Ease through the struggle;
Ease over struggle;
The calming voice that brings peace;
Observing, listening, questioning our assumptions;
Entering the current of love and generosity without prerequisites;
To notice rather than be noticed;
To encourage rather than criticize;
To listen and not solve with trite answers;
Responding with the beatitudes rather than platitudes;
Empty your jar of kindness with wild abandon, expecting nothing in return;
Cast light and love with fervor and abundance;
And in all of these impossible, counterintuitive, unwarranted, ridiculous, undeserving acts, change the world.
Blessed are the peacemakers.
Be one.

“We will not have peace by afterthought.” – Norman Cousins
