Roadblocks or Openings

“The art of being wise is knowing what to overlook.”― William James

“Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do.”― Steve Jobs

What not to do
Making space
For clarity, discernment, meaning
What to carry
What to put down
What not to pick up
Open to being changed
Rather than waiting for circumstances or others to change
Holding things lightly
Grace and gratitude
Ease, joy, delight
Choose your perspective, choose your state of being
Daily work.

“People don’t resist change. They resist being changed.”― Peter Senge

Unfolding Paths

“As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.” – Rumi

“Live life as if everything is rigged in your favor.” – Rumi

Intuition.
Knowing.
Sensing.

Trust.
Observe.
Listen.

Enjoy.
Wonder.
Wander.

Still small voice.
Heed the call.
Step by step.

“Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction.” – Rumi

The Bait

“Wisdom begins in wonder.” – Socrates

“Hope is such a bait, it covers any hook.” – Oliver Goldsmith

The bait is all around waiting for our response. Choose with intent between contemplation and complaint, between optimism and gloom, between resentment and release, between scarcity and abundance, between clarity and clouds, between ego and soul, between the past and now. We dance in between, play it safe in the middle. Make a conscious decision and recommit daily.

Dare to take the bate of beauty, joy, light, of seeing snow laying on the bud at the tipping point of spring where winter releases its grip and transformation comes in the change of seasons. Allow wonder, awe and ease to do their work and sit in reverie.

“Sit in reverie and watch the changing color of the waves that break upon the idle seashore of the mind.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
