Suppleness of Mind, Radical Amazement

“Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement....Get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible; never treat life casually. To be spiritual is to be amazed.” – Rabbi Heschel

“Until we know the assumptions in which we are drenched, we cannot know ourselves.”― Adrienne Rich

Suppleness of mind.
Generosity of spirit.
Lightness of heart.
Invitation of belonging.
Gift of encouragement.
To calm the internal, when the external thrives on fear and chaos.
Steadfast in hope, kindness, courage, reflection, awe, connection, wonder, compassion, joy, amazement.
Radical amazement amidst the hard work and waiting for and of transformation.

“We often think that there is just one way to look at things – the way we always have. In fact, there are an infinite number of ways to look at most everything. An open mind allows for a multitude of perspectives from which to choose in any given moment. That suppleness of mind allows for true choice, and opens us to a whole new realm of possibility.”― Jeffrey R. Anderson, The Nature of Things – Navigating Everyday Life with Grace
