Tripping Over Joy

“What is the difference
Between your experience of Existence
And that of a saint?

The saint knows
That the spiritual path
Is a sublime chess game with God

Tripping over Joy
And bursting out in Laughter

May you trip over joy and keep tripping to awaken to a steady state of gratitude that does not rely on circumstances, other people’s approval or permission, perfection that prevents action or someday thinking. “Someday thinking” steals our “this day” joy.
