The End of the Story

“He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.” – Aeschylus

As the chapters of our life unfold woven with daily setbacks and irritations to unspeakable despair, there is promise and hope in knowing the end of the story.  Pessimism, darkness, hatred will never overcome the human spirit grounded in light, perseverance, faith and love. Never. The human spirit prevails – the end of the story.

“It is inevitable that some defeat will enter even the most victorious life. The human spirit is never finished when it is defeated… it is finished when it surrenders.” – Ben Stein
