Take a Seat
“At some point in your growth, it starts to become quieter inside. This happens quite naturally as you take a deeper seat within yourself. You then come to realize that though you have always been in there, you have been completely overwhelmed by the constant barrage of thoughts, emotions, and sensory inputs that draw on your consciousness. As you see this, it begins to dawn on you that you might actually be able to go beyond all these disturbances.” – Michael A. Singer, The Untethered Soul

“Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth. We are happy when we are growing.” – William Butler Yeats
Go beyond and deeper, growth is a life-long proposition. When we are finished growing, we are finished. Amidst the constant barrage, you are there ready to rise above it all. When our roots are strong, the wind can move us but never break us. Take a seat deep within, buckle up and start enjoying the ride, in profound awe and without hesitation. Each moment, each day offers a chance to bud and bloom anew.
I love the idea that we are happy when we are growing…. Yes … as I gently and assuredly reach for the sky I am at my happiest!!
Thank you for a new perspective to brighten my day 🙂
Thanks for sharing and keep growing
Every moment is a choice…as to whether we repeat old patterns or move beyond.
Amen
I love this: “When our roots are strong, the wind can move us but never break us.” Just what I needed to read today.
Thanks – a good reminder for us all.
Great post! When we allow the quietness to come we start a real growth journey in which I believe becomes real, rewarding and comforting. All the things of the world do not take over our minds and bodies anymore. It is not until we slow down allowing our real self to surface that we really start to grow. An open mind to discovery and allowing ones mind to absorb our thoughts and ideas is truly the base line to discovering who we really are. Planting solid roots based on this journey continues to straighten our lives.
Awesome and thoughtful response. Thank you!
