Unlocked Handcuffs

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson

Our thoughts so easily stray and wander to assumptions, judgements, the rules, what others think, what I should do, what I shouldn’t do all based on no evidence. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of the unknown, fear of not being good enough. We weren’t put here to remain the same, to curl up comfortable and safe in the cocoon. Squirm, move, struggle to get out into the butterfly that you are meant to become.

When we bind ourselves with unlocked handcuffs, we miss the fulfillment and depth of the pursuit, of the work, of running freely, falling hard because we gave it our all and from getting right back up and going at it again.

Challenge your assumptions, your scarcity mindset and push the button of action and abundance. The handcuffs aren’t locked. The cocoon is only a transition to so much more.
